Puppy Love

(Note: Dog ownership isn't really a hobby, but I wanted to blog about Sprocket so I figured it would be best to add  it here rather than start a new blog)

I grew up with dogs, always had them at some point in my life. The first dogs in my life were two shelter dogs my family had, named Fancy and Brandy. The next dog was Calli a poodle/chihuahua mix and also my older sisters Boxer named Bristol. Last but not least was my uncles dog named Inti who was a lab/something mix.

I started with a search on Petfinder with my criteria on hand. The dog had to be scruffy, a terrier, 6 mo or older, under 35 lbs, male or female, it didn't matter. At first I spotted a 5 mo old dog that I thought I would wait a month for then apply, but he got adopted before that could happen.
First picture I saw of Eddie. Taken in AL.
I had another dog that I was keeping my eye on  as well though named "Eddie". He was super adorable in his picture and fit my criteria but, he wasn't in WI yet. The day the ad mentioned he was arriving from AL to WI, I emailed the rescue with my application. (Fluffy Dog Rescue). I got a reply and the process began!

Pictures taken by FDR in WI on his arrival.

I watched my email like a hawk for that week. After we were approved I contacted "Eddies" foster mom and set up a day to meet & adopt him. We drove from Madison over to Hartland and got there after about an hour on the road. We went up to the door and rang the doorbell and were soon greeted by one dog, then another and then I saw "Eddie". I was super super excited when I saw him! I put on his new collar and name tag. We decided to name him Sprocket after the dog from Fraggle Rock.We stayed and chatted about the rescue and about Sprocket for a while and then it was time to head home. (I had to get to work soon)

Sleeping at his foster mom's after playing and while we all talked.
His namesake!

When we got home Erland stayed with him and did the cat-dog introductions. Work couldn't go by fast enough! It was such a great day. He was so tuckered out by the end that he passed out while we watched TV.
I look like crap but he's super cute!
